Stretch marks have a way of making people feel less confident and uneasy especially when they are out with friends.

People who have stretch marks are usually extra conscious to avoid airing the marks which actually isn’t a pleasant sight.

Stretch marks are usually on the abdominal wall, the thighs, upper arms, buttocks and breasts of both men and women (before some guys go thinking it’s one of those women issues).

Usually, stretch marks occur after a part of the skin has been stretched and contract back to their usual state.

Weight gain and loss is a major cause of stretch marks although it could be heredity sometimes and also caused by stress or a change in physical conditions.

A lot of people have engaged in futile journeys with the aim of getting rid of stretch marks and no one will be exactly happy with such development.

Oh well, say no more because I’ve got some useful tips to help you get rid of them and the more interesting part is that you don’t need to break a bank to have these remedies work.

Check out some useful home remedies that could help your skin glow in just a few days and have you dump all the worries that escort those stubborn stretch marks. And oh, Thank me later (winks)

Sugar

Yes, sugar!

It is funny how people run away from sugar these days to avoid stories that touch the heart like Diabetes and its siblings.

Well, sugar can be used to get rid of stretch marks by mixing a tablespoon of raw sugar with some almond oil and a few drops of lemon juice.

Mix it well and apply it on the stretch marks and other skin areas and gently rub for a few minutes daily before you shower.

Within one month, you will definitely see obvious results but that is only when you are consistent.

Castor Oil

It is quite unfortunate that a plethora of people are yet to discover the wonders of Castor oil.

Castor oil is used in the treatment of a number of skin problems such as wrinkles, spots, moles, pimples and so on.

It can also be used to get rid of stretch marks by gently massaging the area in circular motions for 5 to 10 minutes. Wrap the area with a thin, cotton cloth and then apply some heat to the affected area for at least a half an hour using a hot water bottle or a heating pad.

If you are consistent for at least one month, you will definitely be in awe at the way your skin would glow.

Lemon Juice

Lemon juice also works wonders, apart from its lightening effects on the skin, it also helps to remove stretch marks. Lemon juice is naturally acidic which helps heal and reduce stretch marks, acne, and other scars.

To get rid of stretch marks, apply fresh lemon juice gently onto the area in circular motions. Leave it for at least 10 minutes so the lemon juice will soak into your skin, and then rinse off with warm water.

Alternatively, you can also mix equal quantities of cucumber juice and lemon juice and apply the mixture on the stretch marks.

Aloe Vera

Growing up, we were made to understand that Aloe Vera is not the usual plant and of course it is still as medicinal as it was portrayed in those days.

Aloe vera is effective in the treatment of many skin problems. Its healing and soothing properties can be used to get rid of stretch marks. You can directly rub aloe vera gel on the affected skin area, leave it on for 15 minutes and then rinse the skin with lukewarm water.

Alternatively, you can make a mixture with one-fourth cup of aloe vera gel, oil from 10 vitamin E capsules and oil from five Vitamin A capsules. Apply the mixture on the affected area until it is fully absorbed. I bet you would see results in one month if you are consistent.

Egg Whites

How does it feel to know egg whites could be applied to the body? Yucky right? Actually, good things don’t appear nice sometimes and that is exactly the fate of egg white when it comes to its rejuvenating power on the skin.

Egg whites contain protein and amino acids which are actually good for the skin. To use it to get rid of stretch marks, whip the whites of two eggs gently with a fork. Clean the affected skin area with water and then apply a thick layer of egg whites with a brush.

Allow the egg whites to dry completely and then rinse the area with cold water. You can apply some olive oil or castor oil to keep it moisturized. If you are consistent with this process, you will definitely see results within one month.

Until I come your way next time, have a good time practising and we hope to learn that you got a positive result from trying these remedies.

Ciao!
